OMG…I had the exact same thought last night! I don’t remember the specifics of the 1999 MACC Marshall comeback compared to the SF loss last night but the postgame feeling is very similar for me for sure.

I was at that one. That was rough. The ride back to kzoo in complete silence. Buy hey, we were back the following year. Hopefully lions can do the same

Not "never."

Don Shula was Lions assistant before he became Colts and then Dolphins HC.

And then winningest coach in NFL history.

RE: Lions
At halftime I told my wife about the '57 playoff game in San Fran when Niners were ahead of Lions 27-7.

Lions came back to win 31-27, next week blew out Browns for their last NFL championship.

Point being, it isn't over until it's over.

And apparently turnabout is fair play even sixty-some years later.

Nevertheless - Lions had great season, are relevant again-no longer a joke in NFL.

Good call. I should have put first “in Super Bowl era”. Cause the two eras are quite different for the lions organization

Well you could say that, except William Clay Ford became principal owner of the Lions in 1963.

And his family has owned it ever since.

Latest news is Johnson is staying with the Lions. His asking price is too high. Super Bowl or bust. If true big win for the organization for next season
