Absolutely not, although they will be much improved. I hope the Bulls try and get Melo, he would be a perfect fit w/D-Rose and I'm pretty sure he isn't staying in Denver after this season.

WMVP is reporting Korver will sign with the Bulls; 3 years, $15 million. Decent move, the Bulls needed a shooter, and there's still plenty of cap space to play with for them.

This is a nice pick up for the Bulls, although I'm not sure he will start at SG. I would like the Bulls to go after a SG that plays good defense like Tony Allen. But Korver will help Rose out a lot now that he has a sharp shooter by his side. He's a 41% career 3-point shooter and shot 53% last season, wow. Hopefully he can stay healthy along with Boozer.

Ronnie Brewer and Anthony Morrow are a couple names bouncing around for the SG position. Morrow is a real good shooter and Brewer has good size, is athletic, and could fill some of the defensive needs at the SG position. Now, he can't shoot, so you'd be stuck really with just Korver, but Morrow isn't the defender Brewer is. Getting Korver though may eliminate Morrow from consideration immediately.

The Bulls are in really good shape from a flexibility standpoint with the cap space they have, I know they didn't get any of the Big 3 but that appears to have never been a viable option in the end. They may have slightly overpaid for Boozer and Korver but neither is a stupid/bad contract and the market was always going to be out of whack with those 3 guys in Miami floating around.

It will be interesting because the Bulls really do have a chance here to put together a team that can throw out a nice starting 5 but also have tremendous depth. They need to choose the right guys, but the money and free agents are there to make this a really nice team.

I am not an NBA fan, but I do have to say the fact there are true villians now and some thick plots behind some of these games is going to spark my viewership a little bit. Sports flourish with rivalries, and I really feel the NBA has lacked in bad blooded rivalries lately. I think last night is going to change that. Rivalries lead to players putting more importance on winning.

The two most historic rivals just played in the NBA finals. Although there wasn't "bad blood" between them, I feel that the NBA was able to do quite well without your theory.

Historic rivals yes but when was the last time that has really been a rivalry, noone even cared about that series honestly.

It's good to see LeBron showing everybody what I already knew for awhile, that he is indeed a huge douche.

Congrats on going from one of the most well liked athletes in sports and having the potential to be the GOAT to becoming (literally) the most hated athlete in sports and having the potential to be Scottie Pippen.

Impressive.

It would also be funny if the Cubs turn their act around after the All Star break, and go on the win the World Series.

More than funny, that would be a miracle exceeding Biblical proportions. In other words, there is no chance in hell (heaven?) it would happen.
I actually think the Cavs have more talented then theyre given credit for. There's no chance in hell they beat the Heat in a 7 game series, but I wouldn't be surprised if they matched up with the Heat in the 1-8 in the first round.

RE: The Latest on LeBron
My sources tell me Redick will be the new starting SG for the Bulls unless the Magic match the offer, which they probably won't since the Bulls front-loaded it.

I can see Redick as a starter, reminds me of Ray Allen a little bit. He's a pure shooter w/3-point range, can come off screens, can shoot off the dribble, and although his defense isn't great, I think he wants to get better and improve his game. I actually thought he played better than Carter in some of the games I watched in the Celtics/Magic series.

If the Magic don't match the offer, the Bulls squad is looking like this so far:

PG-Rose
SG-Redick
SF-Deng
PF-Boozer
C-Noah
Bench:
Gibson
Korver
Johnson

They still need to add a back-up PG and maybe a defensive specialist at SG like a Tony Allen. And I think they're bringing over that Omer Asik dude from Turkey.
