RE: New Huskie Stadium turf design
I renewed season tickets and HAF online a while back and still received two packets in the mail. Should I be worried? LOL

I’m not being salty about it—it’s just not fun to pay that much money to lose (esp to teams like SIU). I’ll still make it up there for a game or two, but I’m not doing season tix this year. If they get better again, I definitely will again because I don’t mind the time and money investment when they’re winning.

Same thing with me. We’d drive a long distance to DeKalb just to see them play horribly and lose. I’d sit there disgusted and pissed off and keep thinking about all the money I paid for tickets and benefits. We brought friends to the games, and it was just an embarrassment. Now, I’ll just watch the games and turn them off before my anger rises and my heart fails.
Here is to hoping you not having season tickets this season, you will still be at allot of games because we are having one of those fun, winning years.

Go Huskies!

I may go to Homecoming - maybe. A big problem I have is parking. I would need to park at the Convo. Normally, that’s not a problem except that my wife has hip and knee issues. We used to park next to the stadium, which was wonderful. Now, STF is charging $1,000 per space to park there - in addition to other costs and donations including expensive benefits. He can kiss my more than ample gluteal orifice!

There is a shuttle bus from convo parking. Also, if you have disability plates or hangtag, there is closer parking with a shuttle

Good to know. Thanks. If we decide to go to a game this year, we’ll definitely look for the shuttle.

STF's latest includes a rendering of the new turf. Not bad ... except ... since the yard markers are right side up as they face each side of the field, east and west, why isn't the sideline "Brigham Field" name on the east side (upper right of rendering) also aligned that way?

Hopefully just a mistake on the rendering.

STF hopes to see YOU at one of the Spring events! Yep, he needs people to walk past and ignore. Don’t disappoint him!!!

You are a crotchety old man. I like it.

I may be crotchety and I may be old, but I am NOT a man! I am a non-binary genderqueer being. My wife will vouch for that.

DF - there is also handicap parking in the lot behind the alumni center, across from the student lot on the east side. My dad had a knee replaced and parks there. We tailgate in lot k, which is connected to that lot. I see the shuttle running back and forth all the time. My dad has hopped on a few times. I don’t know what the regularity is. It’s probably just a catch it when you see it sort of thing.

Thanks, DH. We don’t have handicap plates or a tag, so if we go to Homecoming, we’ll park in the Convo lot and grab a shuttle.

For those of you who park at the Convo, do they open all the lots? How is traffic leaving the game? Can you use the bathrooms in the Convo, or is it only porta-potties?

I am looking for 4 strong men to carry DF to the stadium. Loin cloths are required

This is a DEI university. Make it 4 men and 4 women. I’ll be in a loin cloth too.

2 theys, a Korean dog, and an old bologna sandwich. We want everyone to be represented

I'm beginning to think our sense of humor is why NIU has kicked us out of contact.

I don't think this is a mistake as they both face the camera on the West side. I think it's on purpose and I'm pretty sure I've seen many other fields aligned this way.

This is exactly correct.

Have HAF Season packets being mailed this year? Or will they?

Obviously I’ve not received one.

I got mine last week (I actually got 2 one with my name without middle initial, the other with...) That's another thing entirely why not check you are sending 2 to the same address with the same name?

I have not opened either one yet, going to be interesting if they are both the same information though....

I got two also.

I always renew online and always still get a packet.

Maybe just me but I would be disappointed if I didn’t get a packet even though I renew online. I enjoy reading them.

Can't wait to see ya'll at Huskie Stadium this fall.

No thanks, not part of the deal. Let her take the shuttle while you carry ME to the stadium. As Klake mentioned, you (and I) are to wear loin cloths. But, I must warn you. After a couple onion slathered hot dogs or brats, I am not responsible for what comes out of me. And, BTW, face masks are NOT allowed!
