As much as I hate the new W and bronco logo, I cheer when I see the old logo being used. But this is just another example of total incompetence by Tony Proudfoot and company. How and why this guy still has a job amazes me. In the private sector this guy would have been fired a long, long time ago.....

In this example, it's incompetence by ESPN. They have the right logo for football games on ESPN+. During the hockey tournament last year, they had the right logo in pregame. Then they had the wrong logo during the 1st period and fixed it to the right logo sometime during the game.

Proudfoot deserves a lot of criticism about how this rolled out and lack of vision for the Circle W being an athletic logo. But, I don't think sitting in ESPN meetings and making sure they take the new logo and apply it to all the sports correctly is in his job description.

RE: WMU Men's Soccer
After our opening day loss at Vermont, the Broncos have gone 3-0-1 since then.

Defeated Dayton yesterday. Took a 5-0 lead and almost blew it, coming away with a 5-4 victory.

It is 100% his job to make sure that "All" media is 1) Aware of the "rebranding" change 2) Explains to all media outlets how the logo(s) can and can not be used and 3) follows up with each media out let to make sure they are doing this. He doesn't have to sit in on a ESPN meeting, there is this new technology out there if you haven't heard, it's call E-mail and phone calls. Every year a new press kit should be sent out to all media outlets with current information.

Obviously Proudfoot directly isn't the one who would be out there doing this, it's with in his staff, but it is his responsibility to make sure this is being done correctly.

RE: WMU Men's Soccer
These last 3 wins have been huge, all top 100 RPI wins and RPI is king in soccer for NCAA selection. UIC in particular is 14th in RPI and on the road too. Broncos have shot up from outside the top 100 to 42nd which is right on the bubble.

I watched the Wright St game (match?). Thought we may take a step-back after joining the Horizon but we’re killing it this year

Missouri Valley Conference. But you're right, we're looking good at 7-1-3 and beat a ranked UIC team along the way.

RE: WMU Men's Soccer
Just saw Women’s Soccer top of the MAC.

Good right now:
Men’s Tennis
Women’s Soccer
Volleyball
Men’s soccer
Hockey
Gymnastics

Golf just got a nice donation……Wondering if AD played a role in that.

I'm not used to most of the sports most aren't interested in being good. Rebuild basketball and/or football, & our AD will get a good payday someday somewhere else……& you want to see it.

Broncos now 10-1-3 after beating NIU 3-1 Wednesday.

Sunday's game is pretty big: At #10-ranked Missouri State.

RE: WMU Men's Soccer
WMU just finished off a huge 2-1 win at #10 Missouri State. We'll see where exactly that puts them in the RPI but they should be in good position for an at large now should they need it.
