Anyone make it out to any games last night?

I'm living at home while student teaching so I went and checked out my alma mater Crystal Lake Central's opener against defending 6A champion Cary Grove. They KILLED them! C-G didn't have much returning but either way, very impressive 27-6 win.

Remember the name Gage Harrah. He is only a junior and rushed for 197 yards last night. I watched John Dergo (Morris, 2006) play in person a couple times and this kid looks like the exact same running back. Honest to God. It is something special. That was some pretty impressive power running. I tried to do a search on him but I don't seen anything on rivals or scout. Google brought up a bunch of wrestling stuff on him so I'm guessing he'll go that rout in college instead of football? He looks somewhat undersized from the video but it's hard to tell

I watched Harrah last year a few times when I was working a few games for the NWHerald. Good at football, but even better wrestler, just like Dergo was. There were rumors going around that he was going to transfer to Montini last year.

Saw that Maine South lost last night. Makes me laugh and makes the ESPNU game a little less interesting.

If anyone ever wants to hear some high school action via the internet, I'm the pre/halftime/post host for "Friday Night Lights" on Sportstownchicago.com. We do pbp for a game every Friday night and have people reporting at the other biggest games of the week. In week 1 we were at Joliet Memorial Stadium broadcasting the Montini @ JCA game and we had reporters at Schaumburg for the big upset, DGS, NN and a dew lesser games.
