I have a problem need help, I need to assign a value for each range, so when a number comes up , I get the answer. So if the number is 122 my value is 1 ... and if the number is 243 my value is -1. Thanks in advance.

0- 100 = 2
100 -150 =1
151-200 = 0
201 - 250 = -1

This should work:
=IF(A1<101,2,IF(A1<151,1,IF(A1<201,0,IF(A1<251,-2))))

Change A1 to whatever cell the number you want to assign the value to is in.

Change the -2 to a -1 and it'll work. Could have used a vlookup as well.
