Charles Schumer wants to be the CEO of Spirit Airlines
Sen. Charles Schumer made the statement that Spirit Airlines was setting a "bad precedent" by charging for carry on luggage.

If you don't want to pay it, don't fly Spirit Air. Then, they will lose customers and either go out of business or remove the bag fee.

This is called free enterprise. If the consumer does not like it, Spirit Air will know by less passengers.

Government, get out of running businesses!!!!!!

"Chuck the Shmuck" Schumer is your typical liberal Democrat busy-body who has no respect for the free market, and even less for the people he is supposed to represent. It naturally figures that he would also be biggest gun-grabber in the Senate.

He basically thinks the common folk, even those who voted for him, are just a bunch of idiots, and we need some pompus-ass know-it-all pig, like him, setting up a nanny state to protect us.

The market should and will determine the fairness of Spirit's new policy, not some tryanical senator.

From a consumer's point of view, there actually is an advantage to Spirit's policy. I have flown a couple times, where the two other people in my row have carry on luggage that is so large, it takes up the whole section of the over head compartment, and I get stuck having to squeeze my reasonably sized carry-on under my seat.

Take, for example, Ben Stiller's character in "Meet the Parents". I'll bet you will not see to many Gaylord Fockers flying Spirit Airlines.

Chuckhead Schumer needs to keep his big fascist nose out of the market, and shove his bill back up his rump, from whence it came.
