With the new rules, your kids can stay on your insurance till age 26. I plan on cutting the cord way before that point. You are now longer a kid after 18. I understand helping while in college but after you graduate or get a full time job, you are on your own.

Will I, as a parent, be allowed to kick my kid off my insurance or will I be required to carry him.

Also, why not also allow parents to get on their kids insurance after retiring?

If I have to carry my kids, they should not be allowed to vote, drink or drive. They are not mature enough
